The supply chain and information systems have been successfully implemented in organizations that produce goods, but their application in the services sector, mainly in education, has been limited. Making education organizations efficient has been a problem approached from different perspectives. This paper presents a proposal for an information management system based on the supply chain model, resulting from the analysis of the current activities and the main guidelines applied to a higher education institution, with the aim of improving the performance and efficiency in: decision making and administrative functions oriented to customer satisfaction and reduction of process time, resulting in alignment and better understanding of processes.
